Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God in all things, at all times

About five years ago my pastor talked about the power of praise and worship. I didn't know it was really that powerful I had nothing to lose so that day I got home after church, nobody was back yet and I praised. I sang so many songs, I danced, I smiled, I got so into it that I cried, I expressed myself so sincerely. I never knew praise could be so powerful.

I also made sure I didn't ask for anything, but at the time I wanted a vacation job. As soon as I finished this praise session, I mean it was almost instant I got a call from someone who offered me a job. You see, I've always been really big on doing meaningful work and this was a small job with an NGO increasing awareness of children living with Cancer. I hadn't even left the living room, I was still wearing my church clothes! I praised God even more.

Praise and thanksgiving - is verbalized faith. If you thank God after something happens, that’s gratitude. If you thank God before it happens, that’s faith. Perhaps your teenager isn't saved, maybe you just lost your job, maybe you have been believing God for something for such a long time and you're about to give up. Praise is life-changing. I could extol "Praise" for ages, but singing "Praise" praises is often easier than singing praises. The less we feel like praising, the more we need its power.

There are still times when we would prefer to sulk. Forgetting that it is faith, not tears, that most moves our Lord, we secretly hope that if we are sufficiently miserable, he will have pity on us. I want to remind you that the Bible says He inhabits the praise of His people. Praise gives God the legal right to help you. Praise sets the stage for God to move! Praise releases the angels to minister! One will chase one thousand but two will chase 10,000! I want to challenge you and your household to start praising and praising and praising!!! Let praise become a lifestyle. Get your praise on!

Here are a few scriptures for you to hold on to and to stir your faith:

Psalm 100 says: Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.¨

Hebrews 13:15-16 tells us: "Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."

Hebrews 13:15-16 tells us: "Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."

So sing to Him, praise Him, love Him for your salvation and for the Holy Spirit He has sent to live within you, who is your comforter and your teacher, the one who is right there with you now. Praise Him for the precious promises in His Word that He has given to you that will never fail. Praise Him for the ongoing refining work that He is constantly bringing about within you. Praise Him because He is the author and the finisher of your faith. Praise Him - you are The King's Kid, you are an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ.
